VH1 – 100 Greatest Artists of All Time

Alicia Keys, Ozzy Osbourne, The Beatles and Michael Jackson are to be featured on a four-night special called “100 Greatest Artists of All Time,” VH1 said.
The list was determined by a poll of well-known music artists and industry experts. With Jim Shearer serving as host, the program is to have a two-hour premiere Sept. 6.
In 1998, VH1 launched the same list as the channel’s first countdown special; however; much has changed since the dawn of the new millennium. VH1 puts this debate up for a vote again to see which rock pioneers still matter and which new acts rate in the age of download-to-own music and ever-changing pop culture.
The countdown will include special, rarely-seen performance footage along with brand new, totally original interviews with music’s most famous faces.

Alicia Keys’ Dream Wedding

As the sun set over the clear-blue Mediterranean Sea on July 31st, singer Alicia Keys and her fiancé, music producer Swizz Beatz, exchanged vows in front of family and close friends, including Queen Latifah, Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Louboutin and Bono.
The private event was held at a seafront estate on the southern coast of the French island of Corsica, where the mind-body sage Deepak Chopra, the couple’s pal, officiated the intimate service. Swizz’s eldest son, 9-year-old Prince Nasir Dean — served as best man to his dad.
“The whole ceremony was magical, like something out of a dream,” an eyewitness tells Life & Style.
The beaming bride wore a custom-made, Grecian inspired one-shouldered silk Vera Wang gown with crystal detailing, a dazzling diamond necklace headband, custom made by Jacob the Jeweler, and jewel-encrusted Christian Louboutin sandals accented her feet. Swizz, whose given name is Kasseem Dean, sported a white Tom Ford tuxedo with a black bow tie.
The pair, who are expecting a child in early November, were overcome with joy. “I love everything about her,” Swizz tells Life & Style about his new wife.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz Hang in the Hamptons

“A pregnant Alicia Keys retreated to the Hamptons to support her fiancé Swizz Beatz, who was honored at the 11th Annual Art for Life benefit at Russell Simmons’ East Hampton estate on Saturday (July 24). The star-studded fundraising event drew the likes of John Legend and girlfriend Christine Teigen, Maxwell, Selita Ebanks, Rev Run, and others.
Swizz, who has two sons, Kasseem Jr., 3, and Prince Nasir, 9, from previous relationships, told PEOPLE his future bride is ready for motherhood. “Alicia is definitely one of those great parents-to-be,” he said, while adding, “I’m definitely one of those great parents as well.”
The couple does not want to know the sex of their baby in advance. “We don’t know,” shared the producer. “We’re just going to let that be magical. Whatever we’re blessed with, boy, girl, twins, that baby is being born to blessed parents.”
